Vacuum High Speed Disperser
TRANSOCEAN® explosion proof high speed dispersers are suitable for use in hazardous areas where flammable vapors, liquids or dusts are involved such as processing of coatings, oil inks and adhesives. The disperser consists of a flameproof control panel, an electric cabinet, a base plate or a mounting flange, a support column, a mixing head, a support rack, a mixing motor, a transmission system, a dispersing disc and a hydraulic lifting system.

TRANSOCEAN® high speed dispersion mixer is widely used for dispersing of solids into fluids in the production of paints, coatings, color pastes, dyes, adhesives, inks, etc.. The tank lid can be lifted or lowered separately by a couple of cylinders to fit various material vessels. Fumes are available on the lid to collect dusts and protect the environment.

Dispersion Kettle
Transocean® dispersion kettle is applicable for mixing and dispersion of liquid-liquid or solid-liquid materials. The serrated dispersing disc is adopted as the dispersion device, which is mounted on the dispersing shaft and is driven by the motor. The dispersing speed is regulated by the inverter so as to provide different mixing velocity and share force at different processing stages.

Basic Principles of Single Shaft High Speed Disperser

The single shaft high speed dispersers work on the fundamental principle of energy transfer. A disc-type blade is mounted at the bottom end of the mixing shaft, and it is rotated at a high peripheral velocity. The peripheral velocity or tip speed is the speed at the edge of the rotating disc.

The rotating disc creates a suction, and it draws the solids and liquids. The suction creates an invisible whirlpool from the top of the mixture down to the top of the rotating disc. Besides, another whirlpool is created below the disc, starting from the tank bottom to the disc underside. There are two whirlpools, so there will be two vortices; however, as the industry practice, the visible upper one is considered as the vortex.

The solid and liquid mixture enters the vortex and gets sucked into the high-speed disc. The energy of the disc gets transferred to the mixture, and this energy transfer creates a tremendous velocity change in the mixture as it progressively contacts the disc.

The mixture is instantaneously accelerated from the slow-moving vortex into the high speed of the disc, and it is projected outwards and towards the wall of the tank.
