1. Antifreeze measures
Cooling water discharge: When the equipment is stopped for a long time in winter, the cooling water in the equipment must be emptied. Cooling water is used in the equipment to prevent overheating, but at low temperatures, the cooling water may freeze, causing equipment damage.
Use antifreeze: Choose the right antifreeze according to the local minimum temperature. The freezing point of the antifreeze should be much lower than the ambient temperature to ensure that it can still maintain fluidity under extreme low temperature conditions.
Insulation measures: Add insulation materials to the cooling water pipeline of the sand mill installed outdoors or in a constant temperature room. This helps prevent the cooling water from freezing at low temperatures.
2. Equipment maintenance
Regular inspection: Increase the frequency of regular inspections in low temperature environments, paying special attention to the sealing performance and lubrication system of the equipment. Regularly check the working status of the cooling system to ensure its normal operation.
Grease replenishment: The bearings need to be regularly replenished with grease. If it is in a cold area, low-temperature resistant grease needs to be replenished.
Sealing liquid inspection: The liquid level of the mechanical seal balance box must not be lower than the bottom edge of the sight glass. Check whether the coolant circulation hose is frozen and cracked, and whether the internal coolant is frozen.
3. Preparation before starting the equipment
Pre-operation test: After the equipment has been out of service for a long time, it is best to use thin material to circulate for more than 10 minutes before formal use, and then clean it and add material to work normally.
Coolant inspection: Dial out the circulation outlet pipe of the machine seal coolant to check whether the coolant can flow out normally. If it cannot flow out normally, the coolant in the pressure balance tank needs to be thawed.
4. Other precautions
Valve insulation: In winter, the valve needs to be insulated. It can be covered with an insulation sleeve to prevent the internal structure such as the valve core from freezing.
Electrical system maintenance: Check the cables and plugs regularly to ensure that they are not damaged by low temperature weather. Use low-temperature resistant cables to prevent hardening or breaking.
Mechanical seal system maintenance: Select a sealing liquid with a freezing point far below the ambient temperature to ensure that the sealing liquid can still maintain fluidity under extreme low temperature conditions.
