1. Immediate Shutdown and Safety Measures
1. Power Off
Immediately shut down the machine and take safety measures if a blockage is detected to prevent equipment damage or accidents.
Close the feed valve to prevent further accumulation of material.
2. Initial Diagnosis
Use an ammeter, a grinding sound sensor (electric ear), or vibration detection to determine the location of the blockage (e.g., feed inlet, baffle plate, or discharge outlet).
2. Targeted Cleaning Methods
1. Feed/Discharge Inlet Blockage
Use a high-pressure water jet or specialized tools (such as a steel chisel or hooked rebar) to remove the blocked material.
If the blockage is caused by iron chips, stop the mill and clean the material from the feed side to the discharge side.
2. Baffle Plate Blockage
Reduce or stop feeding, allowing the material to fall out naturally; if the grate has not been cleared for a long time, clean it thoroughly.
Check the grate hole penetration rate to optimize material flowability. 3. Drying chamber blockage
Increase the grinding head air temperature and increase system ventilation. If this is ineffective, shut down the mill for maintenance.
III. Restoration and Prevention
1. Restarting the Process
After cleaning, test run the mill for 5 minutes without load. Verify that there are no abnormalities, then gradually increase the feed rate.
Monitor current, vibration, and temperature to ensure stable operation.
2. Preventative Measures
Control feed moisture (≤15% for wet process) and install an iron remover.
Regularly check the lubrication system and liner condition to prevent wear and tear from exacerbating blockages.
