The Triple Shaft Mixer mainly achieves efficient mixing through the cooperation of three stirring shafts with different functions. Its working principle is as follows:
Central stirring shaft: usually with a higher speed, located in the center of the mixer. It mainly plays the role of quickly dispersing and breaking up large material clumps, can generate strong axial and radial flows, lift a large amount of material from the bottom of the mixing container to the top, and then push it around, forming a macroscopic material circulation flow, so that the material can achieve preliminary large-scale mixing in a short time.
Flying knife stirring shaft: generally installed near the wall of the mixer barrel, its function is to finely shear and disperse the material. The flying knife rotates at high speed, which can quickly chop and break up the passing material clumps and agglomerates, refine the material particles, increase the specific surface area of the material, and improve the uniformity and fineness of the mixing.
Wall scraping stirring shaft: rotates close to the inner wall of the mixer, and its main function is to prevent the material from sticking to the wall and accumulating. It can scrape off the materials attached to the wall of the cylinder and re-mix them to ensure that all materials can be fully mixed to avoid local uneven mixing. It also helps to improve mixing efficiency and reduce mixing time.
Driven by the motor, the three stirring shafts work together at different speeds and motion trajectories, from macroscopic material circulation to microscopic shear dispersion, to process the materials in all directions, thereby achieving efficient mixing.
