² Introduction:
l TRANSOCEAN® conical screw vacuum dryer is a drying equipment that integrates mixing and vacuum drying. It characterizes high drying efficiency, large drying contact surface, fast and thorough material discharge, and no dead ends. Therefore, it is convenient to clean. It can simultaneously take place of mixing equipment and drying equipment (such as double cone dryers, rake dryers, double cone mixers and twin screw mixers, etc.) to implement mixing, drying and unloading with only one equipment. Operations such as cooling, sterilization, and reaction can also be performed. It has been widely used in medicine, chemical, pesticide, food and other industries as an ideal solution for mixing & drying of materials and recycling of solvents. It can realize fully enclosed, continuous operation and production in the whole process.

² Structure:
l TRANSOCEAN® conical screw vacuum dryer consists of the dished end top and the conical jacketed mixing & drying vessel. The elliptical top and the conical jacketed vessel are connected by a large flange. The heating jacket is set outside the conical vessel. The hollow shaft and hollow spiral stirring device with various angles and paths are supplied in the vessel for lifting, stirring and internal heating and drying of the materials. The mechanical seal is set on the top of the reducer. The equipment is equipped with online cleaning and sampling material ports. The manual downward valve without dead angle (rotary valve, pneumatic valve or electric valve is available as an alternative) is supplied at the bottom of the drying vessel for discharge, and the vacuum port is filtered by a sintered mesh (with back blowing).
² Specifications:
l Drying chamber volume: 50L~5000L (customised)
l Designed vacuum in the vessel: -0.1MPa.
l Design pressure in the jacket, hollow shaft and hollow ribbon: 0.4MPa, design temperature: 150℃.
l A horizontal gearbox is adopted as the reducer of the mixing drive device. A motor with inverter is adopted for drive. Stirring speed can be adjusted.
l The shaft seal, inner liner, hollow shaft and hollow ribbon are all made of duplex stainless steel, and other parts such as cone jackets and lugs are made of carbon steel. Both the jacket and the head are provided with thermal insulation layers and covered with stainless steel plates (including large flanges).
l Product contact parts made of SS304, SS316L, duplex stainless steel, glass lined or coated with other suitable materials are available for option. The sealing ring in contact with the material is made of PTFE.
l The mechanical seal is adopted for the seal between the stirring shaft and the shell.
l All connecting flanges of this equipment are manufactured according to the latest national standard HG/T 20592-20597, and other standard parts are manufactured or purchased according to the latest national standard or industry standard. Each process nozzle is processed according to the nozzle orientation agreed upon by the supplier and the demander.
l The bottom of the equipment is equipped with an electric quick-opening discharging device without dead ends. A vacuum port is set on the top of the equipment, and a baffle is installed to prevent material inhalation.
l Button-type electric control box complete with ON/OFF switch and Accelerate/ Decelerate switch.

² Work processes:
l Inerting:
Before adding the material into the drying vessel the container should be filled with nitrogen, which makes the drying chamber inert, prevents the product from being oxidized and also eliminates the hidden danger of explosion during the drying process.
l Loading:
Load the materials to be mixed into the vessel and start to run. The stirrer can run clockwise or counterclockwise to make the materials thoroughly mixed.
l Drying:
After the material is added, steam or hot water or heat transfer oil is passed into the heating jacket to heat the inner wall, and the material is heated by heat conduction, and the moisture is quickly evaporated to achieve the drying effect. With the help of the vacuum in the drying vessel the solvent volatilization speeds up. By adding the treated hot nitrogen and other media to take away the evaporated moisture, the drying of the material can be accelerated and the drying effect can be improved.
l Discharging:
At first open the nitrogen valve at the bottom of the cone or the lower valve or the bypass valve (prepared by user, connected to the vacuum pipeline) to a tiny extent, and gradually reduce the vacuum in the tank until the internal air pressure arrive at the level equal to that outside, then the valve can be opened completely for discharge. The dried and cooled products are thoroughly discharged into the bin through the bottom discharge valve under the assistance of the spiral ribbons thorough without residue.
l ClP:
There is a spray nozzle on the top of the conical screw vacuum dryer, which can spray cleaning liquid to the inner wall of the drying chamber uniformly and indiscriminately to thoroughly clean it to prevent residual materials from contaminating subsequent batches of products.
