Introduction:

TRANSOCEAN® vacuum sigma kneader mixer is an ideal equipment for mixing, kneading, crushing, stirring, vulcanizing, and re-polymerizing of highly viscous, highly elastic-plastic materials that are prone to air bubbles during processing. The kneading mixer is mainly composed of six parts: kneading mechanism, machine base, hydraulic system, transmission system, vacuum system and electronic control system. The kneading mechanism is generally composed of two Sigma blades (or Z-shaped blades) with different speeds and twin U-shaped grooves. The two blades are tangent side by side and rotate at different speeds in opposite direction. Materials in the working chamber are forced to move to the area above the saddle shaped juncture between the two “U” shaped troughs and subject to combined functions of smearing, compressing, shearing, stretching, folding, dividing and kneading. Therefore, high effective homogeneous mixing, merging and recombining can be achieved. The machine base is welded from I-beams and carbon steel plates. The hydraulic system consists of a hydraulic station, two large cylinders and two small cylinders, which are used for the mixing trough turning and the trough cover opening / closing. The drive system consists of a motor, a reducer and gears. The motor is connected to the input of the reducer via an elastic coupling or a belt. The output of the reducer is connected to the stirring paddle via an internal gear & external gear coupling. An optional frequency converter can be used to adjust the speed of the mixing paddles. The vacuum system consists of a vacuum pump, a sealing mechanism and a pipeline, which can eliminate air bubbles generated during processing. According to the requirements of the processing technology, the kneader can also be equipped with a heat exchange device. Usually one of the following heat exchange methods is available as an option: electric heating, steam heating, circulating hot oil heating, circulating water cooling, etc. Finished products can be discharged in one of the following methods: hydraulic cylinder tilting, ball valve discharge, screw extrusion, and hydraulic plate discharge. Timely temperature, time, viscosity and other related data in production can be monitored and recorded with a PLC or a man-machine interface.

TRANSOCEAN® kneader mixer is mainly used in industries that are prone to air bubbles during the production process of silica gel, glass glue base, butyl glue, hot melt glue, aluminum silver paste, and ink.

● Wetted parts are made of SS304 stainless steel or SS316L stainless steel. The surfaces are specially treated to ensure product quality.

● The interval between the stirring blade and the material grooves is 5mm ± 0.4mm. The materials adhering to the inner wall of the grooves can be swept.

● Simultaneous vacuum degassing of the materials in the silo is carried out while kneading and mixing to prevent the products from being oxidized and ensure the quality of the product.
